11. BEAGLE - Beagles are gentle, courageous dogs with loving personalities and great stamina.  Their sweet nature makes them a great pet for families with children.  They have high energy and can be strong willed.  Beagles like to chew and dig and will pick up whatever is on the ground.  They will bark at strangers and small animals and they love to eat.

Due to their short attention span, Beagles should be trained in short sessions several times a day.  They are also slow learners so you must be patient in your training process.

12. POMERANIAN - Pomeranians are like fluffy balls that are always smiling.  They have a happy and outgoing personality and are intelligent and very alert.  Pomeranians can be very mischievous.  They love to jump and have been referred to as little jumping beans.

For some, Pomeranians can be difficult to housetrain and excessive barking can be hard to control as well.  Training should be done consistently and there should be no distractions during training sessions.

13. ROTTWEILER - Rottweilers have a strong guarding instinct, which make them one of the best protection dogs.  They are dependable, very smart, and rugged.   Rottweilers are outgoing, strong-willed, athletic, alert dogs that are completely loyal and good-natured companions.  Since they are large and strong they can easily knock you down.

Obedience training is very important with this breed, as well as socialization.  They are extremely energetic and they are known to jump up.  Training will help with this.  Because of their instinct to chase prey they will tend to chase other animals or strangers so be prepared to maintain strong leash control.

14. LABRADOR RETRIEVER - Labrador Retrievers are fun loving, high-energy, excitable, friendly dogs that have a great level of devotion to their owners.  They are also great swimmers are among the best family pets available.  Known to be mischievous they love to chew, dig, jump up, and usually like everybody.  They also mouth whatever is handy by biting without using their teeth.

You will get better results with training if you start early.  Labs love to please so training will be easiest if positive reinforcement is used.  They can sometimes be easily distracted so start training in a quiet area.

15. BOSTON TERRIER - The Boston Terrier is an outgoing and energetic dog.  Like their terrier relatives, once they become focused on something they are strong willed, stubborn and single-minded.  Even though they are tough and rugged and don't back down easily they are also gentle and easy to care for.  They can be very territorial and love to dig.  Boston Terriers tend to chase things that cross their paths.

Keeping Boston Terriers focused around distractions will be the biggest problem when training.  Socializing at an early age around other dogs will help to ensure that they get along with them later on.  Commands that require the breed to stay still will be the hardest to teach.
